Alabama Kairos Prison Ministry - For those interested in sharing Christian gospel and love with prison inmates and their families.

The Birmingham Pledge - A grassroots effort to recognize the dignity and worth of every individual, by making a personal, daily commitment to remove prejudice from our own lives and to treat all people with respect. Make the pledge.

Habitat for Humanity Tuscaloosa - This Facebook page connects you to what is going on in this wonderful ministry which builds homes for those who need them. Habitat for Humanity was actually started by a couple who met in Tuscaloosa. If you are not a fan of facebook, you can learn more about our local HFH chapter here.

Tuscaloosa Race Relations - An ongoing project to openly and respectfully discuss race relations in our city. If you would like to get involved, send an email with questions or ideas to tuscaloosa.race.relations@gmail.com.

Compassion Coalition- A local faith-based group that provide emergency assistance and aid to families and individuals affected by natural disasters and individual traumas. If you are interested in working with Compassion Coalition to assist those in need as these needs emerge, contact Nancy Green 205-349-2797.

The Good Samaritan Clinic- A nonprofit healthcare practice which provides a comprehensive range of services for patients without health insurance or the means to afford care. Open to patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to explore volunteer opportunities, please contact Mary Mitchell at (205) 343-2212.
